Strip Club

Yesterday was Strip Club at Thimbletowne

Here is Jeremy showing us two different sets of strips that we can use to make our next quilt.  He had lots of different suggestions.

We did show and tell next.  Here are some of the finished quilts.

This is Persis's.  Her choice was using just three colors.  White and Black, Black and White and red.

This is Diane Holmes.  Snhe used a Mirror image layout on her quilt.  Love that bright green.  So Pretty.

This is Marty's quilt.  She used light lavender, darker purple and then her black and white strips.  This quilt brought many oohs and aahs.

Diane Brown's quilt.  I really wish you could see her borders better.  Her fabric is so cool.  Her binding is loose right now as she is still working on sewing it down.  Pretty quilt.

Really cool retro colors.  The border is very fun. It has nail polish, lipstick and lots of girly things.

Cheryl's quilt.    It is the same lay out but the colors she used put the spot light on the cross sections. This quilt was king size.

This will be our next months quilt.  Isn't this a fun quilt.  Love all the different colors.  This should be a fun one to make.

This quilt will be a block of the month made using Stonehenge fabrics.  It comes in two color ways.
I can't wait for this one.  Not only do I love stonehenge fabrics but this quilt uses all my favorites since I love fall colors.

This is the second color way.  This one I know that Brenda will do as purple is her favorite color.  So.  I can't wait to get started on this one.  Will you be joining us making this?

Well thats all for now.  I hope you enjoyed looking at show and tell.

Thanks for stopping by.  Encourage each other in quilting.  Paula

Class with Pat Robertson

Sorry it has been awhile since I posted.  I had a little bit of a set back and have not been able to sew for over two weeks.  You know how if feels to not be able to do any sewing!  Thank goodness I am now feeling better and can get in some sewing.

Today I attended a class with Pat Robertson as the teacher.  She does beautiful work.  We did Mariner's Compass's.  What a great class.  I was really pleased that I finally was able to complete my project in class.

Here is mine.  I had to pull from my stash as I had not been out of the house to get to the quilt store to purchase fabric.  I like how subtle it turned out.  I used all batiks for my project.

Juanita's - she also used batiks.  I love her bright colors.  My kinda girl.

Brenda's.  Love that Stonehenge background.  Notice the purple.  Brenda's favorite color.

You will be able to see more photos taken at class here: http://orangeblossomquiltguild.blogspot.com
Thanks for dropping by.  Encourage each other in Quilting. Paula
