Yard Work

Now that  our rain has gone for awhile it is time to work in the yard.  Did a little trimming on this plant.  See the kitty off to the right.  She was mad as I was trimming her hiding place.

My first Iris of the year.  Isn't it pretty.

Brenda's Iris. (Brenda loves purple so it is named for her).

Now it is time to get out there and clean up some weeds, do some seperating of plants and get some new once planted.

Thanks for dropping by.  Happy Quilting and gardening. Paula

Quilt Show

How many of you ladies have had the opportunity to ride a limo while at a quilt show?  It was raining so instead of open shuttles they had lemo's.  We took a lemo to lunch.

We had such a great time.  The driver took the long way around and gave us a tour of the city.

Notice the glass in the hand.  We are toasting the driver.

I did not get many photos of the quilt show.  When I was looking at the quilts my purse and camera was stored.  Had to go back and by then I was so very tired so did not get many photos.

There was something about this quilt that just caught my eye.

Love how it was quilted.  The quilting just fit the quilt.  Hum....Ideas.

This is Jeannie's quilt that I quilted for her.

Next up are just random shots of quilts I liked.  Some it was the colors that impressed me, some it was the quilting.

This quilt was in the over 80s category.  The beading on it was truly wonderful.  It was my favorite in the 80's quilts.
This quilt was beautiful.  I loved all the colors and the quilting.  One of my favorites.

I did not get to take photos of my other favorites.  I had to take a break and go sit.  Left shortly after.

It was a great quilt show and all I can say is there are a lot of quilters out there doing better and better each year.  The quality of quilts was really good.
Thanks for dropping by.  Encourage each other in quilting, Paula.

Kristina's Quilt

When Kristina was home during Easter Weekend she brought this top and a second one.  This one needs borders so she brought me the material so I could put on the borders for her.  I wish you could see this top.  It really is pretty material.  I was going to help her with the borders but we just ran out of time so.....Grandma will be a nice Grandma and get it done for her.

The second quilt top she brought done I have to go material shopping for her.  For some unknown reason there is not enough of one color.  Hum.....how did that happen?  Oh well, it gives me an excuse to go to Thimble Towne again to shop.  Darn.

Well, that is all for now.  Thanks for stopping by.  Encourage each other quilting.  Paula.

Catching Up

I have some Misc. photos from our freindship group (Tangled Threads) that for some reason I overlooked.  I think they were taken in March but don't quote me on that.

Jeannie's quilt top - missing the borders.  Still deciding what to do with the borders.

Brenda's Mariners Compas

This dress is a class sample for a class Brenda will be teaching at Thimble Towne.  It is being modeled by Jeannie.  That is Sheila hard a work on her half/square triangles for another project.

Sheila.  Working hard.

Easter Weekend

I was able to get all three of my girls together the day before Easter.  We barbecued tri-tip (yum) and had all the fixins to go with it.  We had a wonderful day.  A nice layed back day.

Easter morning we spent with Nick and Kristina.  They had to leave around noon but we were able to spend some quality time and had a great visit.  It is always hard to see them go...... Until the next visit.
